"UNCANNY'ED" Album of the Week: Rick Ross's "Deeper Than Rap"
Well, William Leonard Roberts II (yes folks, that's the name given to Rick Ross by his momma!), has done it again.
Rick Ross's "Deeper Than Rap" is official! This album had me rockin' all day at work. It's a very different feeling and vibe from his previous album "Trilla" (which was also a fav of mine by the way). This one is a lot more mellow. So let me do the run-down on the tracks that caught my attention:
2. Maybach Music 2 ft. T-Pain, Lil Wayne & Kanye West: By far the HARDEST song going right now!!!
3. Magnificent ft. John Legend (Yeah, yeah--we all know this one--and it's HOT)
11. Bossy Lady ft. Ne-Yo
13. Valley Of Death (classic "If I Die Tomorrow" rap song--every album has one)
The main thing that I like about Rick Ross in general, is that he's a rapper. On every one of his songs he tells a story. To me, that makes a great album. Job well done.
Grade: A-
Next Week's Album: NOTHING Good is coming out, so I'll do 2 the week of May 5th.
May 5th's Album Reviews:
By the way, did anyone know Lil Wayne was coming out with an album called "Rebirth" on June 9??? Check it out here.

saw Lil Wayne on the View talking about the album - he was actually funny and, dare I say it, charming in his own way.
