Christmas 08

First, let me just say....WOW. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not go home often--but I am so glad that I did go home for Christmas. A few thoughts:
  • All of my high school friends look exactly the same...except a few pounds here and there...that's what time and gravity will do to you though
  • My friends live life! Regardless what's going on in their lives, when they get together, nothing else matters.
  • I'm totally over the club scene. Especially the clubs in Little Rock--if my friends had not been there, I totally would have committed club suicide. And I still ended up leaving for a while....
  • The club we went to is called "La Changes"...WTF?? Is that Spanish or English?
  • My friends still believe in public intoxication.
  • My friends drink FRUITY drinks.
  • My friends (mainly Tree) has a shoe obsession just like me...and we wear the same size...is this divine intervention or is it like the show Intervention where we need to help each other get over our addiction??
  • Tom's Catfish is the bomb!!! I have been in Little Rock for 18 years and had never eaten there until this visit.
Here are some of the pics:

Us taking time for a picture before going to "La Changes"

At Wasabi...They have AWESOME shrimp fried rice.

At LaChanges....Kandi's face fits my thoughts for my experience at this place.

I think the song may have been Lil Boosie's I.N.D.E.P.E.N.D.E.N.T. Woman. I have posted it so you hear and get a vibe of the club atmosphere:

Um...yeah...moving on..

OMG..So I was looking at some old pictures and I have so many high school pics like this one...I'll have to post them.

This picture describes the vibe...AMAZING!

All in all, I had fun. This visit to Little Rock shows that my friends are down for each other, loyal, and love each other through everything--and THAT's the reason for the season.

Peace.
