Ok, so maybe it's me...but what's the big deal??!?!? Here are my thoughts: 1) John Edwards told his wife about the affair two years ago!!! Why are WE hurt????!?
2) Wait for it.....JOHN MCCAIN did the exact same thing!!!!!! John McCain married Cindy MAYBE a month after he was divorced to his first wife!! Why isn't anyone bringing this up??!?!? I'm WAITING for GOP to bring this up.
3) Honestly, I really believe that the Clinton scandal was a lot bigger than this mess. I mean Monica Lewinsky blowed Bill Clinton UNDER the Oval Office desk.....does anyone see anything wrong with that???!!? And plus, he didn't even get impeached for that!!! And you're totally stupid if you don't believe they didn't sleep together...we just have EVIDENCE of the Under The Desk situation. I'm from Arkansas...I know my former governor.....he's a pimp...In the words of Lance in The Best Man, "Dude banged many ho*s..."
4)My biggest point....With the price of gas, the rise of unemployment, and other countries who just really aren't afraid of us anymore (Russia), I could care less if the man pimped his wife, his children, AND fathered 5 illegitimate kids...if he could get us out of this mess, then you deserve a break somewhere! SHEEEESH!!!! I mean, our current president is a faithful husband (as far as we know--I don't believe it) and he has single-handedly screwed up America and its reputation. So who would you rather choose?? Seems pretty simple to me....
The problem is that we as Americans are the biggest hypocrites ever to walk the face of this earth. Everyone is so hurt and dismayed....SHUT THAT ISH UP!!!!! He is NOT the only human doing this mess!! You probably know someone right now that has, is thinking about, or is in the process of cheating on their spouse.
I'm not saying it's right, but what I AM saying is that make sure your closet is clean before you judge other people..
On another note though: Who else thought it was clever and sneaky as hell to come out with this secret the DAY--no scratch that--after work on the DAY of the Olympic Opening Ceremony? EDWARDS, YOU AIN'T SLICK!!!! By the time I saw it, I was already at the bar drinking a vodka and tonic. Yeah, I stopped for a second to see if I was reading the ticker correctly on the TV, but after 30 seconds of reflecting how this was going to affect Obama, I realized that Happy Hour would be over in 30 minutes, so I continued with my 'TGIF' celebration. LOL!!!!
If Elizabeth Edwards is still TEAM EDAWRDS, then I'm still TEAM EDWARDS. Period.

I'm glad you got that off your chest! BTW, everyone seems to cheat these days...you are so right that this isn't as big of a deal that some are making it out to be. BUT...it is extra trife that he cheated when she was battling breast cancer...to each his own though!!
